The Reno 8 series was first presented by OPPO in May 2022 in China. The company then launched the OPPO Reno 8 and OPPO Reno 8 Pro for India last month (the latter being marketed as OPPO Reno 8 Pro+ in China).
This smartphone has not yet entered the European market.
The Reno 8's standard 6.43-inch AMOLED display has a refresh rate of 90Hz. The Reno 8 Pro, on the other hand, will have a larger 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate.
The MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC is in the base model. Meanwhile, the Reno 8 Pro uses the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 MAX chipset.
Additionally, the company includes the MariSilicon X NPU in a more expensive variant, which should help improve image quality.
The 4,500 mAh battery of the Reno 8 and Reno 8 Pro can be quickly charged up to 80 W. It should be noted that the displays of both versions have an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Optics on the standard model include a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel secondary shooter, and a 2-megapixel macro lens.
A 50-megapixel main camera, 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro sensor are included in the Reno 8 Pro.
The Reno 8 series has a 32MP front sensor for taking selfies.
